There’s a place for everything.
Maybe it’s in a container, a basket, or a closet. Maybe it’s in the donation pile. Together, we will create solutions that fit your lifestyle.
A BIT ABOUT ME
I’m glad you’re here! I have always had a passion for creating peace in homes, which in many cases can come from an organized, de-cluttered space. I have found that having an organized home can relieve stress and create more free time (and who doesn’t need that?) I love helping clients develop creative solutions for their spaces based on their wants and needs. It brings me so much happiness to work with someone to design practical systems that are suited for everyday life, and nothing feels better than seeing the client’s face when they see the finished project.
Let’s work together to make your home fit your lifestyle!
“
This was the first time having my home professionally organized. I asked Marianne for help organizing my pantry and I was very impressed with the end result. She stayed within my budget and my pantry is now much more functional. I especially like that I am able to see what items I am running low on. Mari reached out in the days following to ensure I was happy with the arrangement of my pantry. She was incredibly friendly and fun to work with. I would highly recommend Mari Organized for all your organizing needs.

I used Mari to organize my entire kitchen. It turned out beautiful and I was very pleased! She organized all my spices, canned goods, pots, pans, dishes, and cleaning supplies. It is much easier to find the things I need using her system of carousels and storage bins. She provided a relaxed and gentle guidance to a well organized kitchen at an economical price. I would recommend her services to anyone wanting to organize their space.

I am so thankful I contacted Marianne to help organize my basement. It's that one area of my house that I disregarded for too long, and she did an AMAZING job setting up my less-frequently used items (like holiday decor) so they are easily accessible and are so much less of an eyesore. Marianne is a true expert!!

THE PROCESS
-
It's the day we've planned for! We will start with editing your space, which is working together to decide if you’d like to keep or donate the items. Next, I will work on executing the system I designed for the space. Once the project is finished, it’s time for the big reveal and hauling off any donations/trash. I will handle one car load per session and arrange any pick-ups needed for larger items.
If you are unable to do an in-person edit with me, I will either get permission in the beginning to throw any old/worn/expired items from your space, or I place all questionable items in a tote for you to go through at a later date. This is something we can discuss during the initial consultation.
-
This is the most commonly asked question, yet it is the hardest to answer: the time it takes depends on many factors including the size of the room, willingness from client to edit, the current state of the room, number of organizers assigned to the project, etc. I can typically do most projects within 1-2 sessions. After our initial consultation, I will do my best to give you an accurate timeframe.
-
I’m able to travel within 25 miles of the Louisville area. If outside that region, there will be an additional $25 travel fee per session.
-
No need! Please do not feel any guilt about the condition of your space. For my work, it is best to see spaces as they are used on a daily basis, including a stocked pantry/kitchen. It’s easier for me to see how the space is being utilized currently so I can come up with practical systems. Mari Organized is here to help and has zero judgment!
-
No, I don’t buy products to style your room unless it has something to do with the organizing system we put in place. If you’re interested in working with an interior designer to style your space, I have a great recommendation!
-
It is extremely helpful to have the client on site for at least the first hour or two; the biggest part of decluttering is the edit part, which means I work directly with you to decide what items can be donated or thrown away. I will not throw anything away without permission, so having you with me will make the session go by faster. If you are unable to be in-person on project day, I can FaceTime with you or arrange a call to discuss how you’d like me to proceed with the edit without you!
-
I know it’s not always possible to have family members out of the house when I’m there, but if possible, it’s easier to work with no one else in the house. Distractions can take up more time, causing unexpected and additional hours to your invoice. I prefer the area I’m working in to be free of distractions if possible, but I can be flexible.
-
I will send an invoice to you, which can be paid by Venmo or Paypal.
EXTRA PRODUCTS/LABELING
-
Labeling is not always necessary but can be extremely helpful. Accurately labeled bins are not only helpful when finding items and keeping your space maintained, but they are also aesthetically pleasing. The vinyl labels will be created by me, and I will place them on your items towards the end of the session or the following day.
-
Products are not always necessary but are extremely helpful. Typical products I use are totes, baskets, clear bins, clips for labeling, and canisters. During our initial consultation, we will discuss product suggestions based upon your budget. As some organization products can get pricy, I promise to stick within your budget and use any products you already have and want to reuse! I will also do all the research, shopping, configuring in the space, and returns for you.
-
Depending on the scope of the project, I am able to hang basic items with Command hooks, and can put together shelving units (usually with help from an assistant). I’m currently learning how to work with Elfa Systems (Container Store) and will soon be able to offer these products. We can discuss further if you are interested in these.
